Gabriel Key

Hailing from the sun-drenched locales of South Florida, Gabriel Key strikes a unique chord in the country music scene. A child of Cuban immigrants, he was born on July 12, 1990, in Hialeah, FL, where his musical journey began. From a young age, Gabriel's fingers danced over piano keys, drum skins, and harmonica reeds, signaling the dawn of a multi-instrumental talent.

Transitioning from the structured rhythms of hip-hop and rap songwriting in his high school years, Gabriel's path took an unexpected turn when he dedicated himself to public service as a paramedic and firefighter in the Florida Keys in 2014. It was in the throes of this demanding career that he discovered the liberating beats of line dancing in a local bar—a place that would later spark the creation of his hit single, “The Round Up.”

The lockdowns of 2020's global pandemic became an unforeseen catalyst for Gabriel. With the world at a standstill, he embraced the quiet, honing his vocal skills under the tutelage of Lennis Sabatino, a protégé of the renowned Ron Anderson. It wasn't long before “Down In The Keys” was born, a tribute to the cherished Florida Keys that resonated with its lovers and locals alike.

Gabriel's presence on stage is electric, whether he's sharing his own compositions or breathing new life into covers.

His performance prowess was showcased when he warmed up the stage for Dylan Scott at a charity event in early 2023 and recently headlined the SeaGlass Experience also known as the Rosè Festival in January 2024. For Gabriel, the joy of music lies in the shared experience—eliciting smiles, laughter, and pure enjoyment. To him, each note played and each lyric sung is an extension of his essence, capturing the euphoria of a moment in melody. Gabriel Key's music isn't just heard; it's felt.
